Summer months are hard on everyone. Food takes a big hit. One always looks for food that will cool the body, and will be light on the stomach
On such hot days, my go to breakfast is this Fruitilicious Smoothie. I normally add whatever fruits are there in the fridge.
My family is so fond of this smoothie that I freeze strawberries and blueberries, when in season to enjoy them in our daily dose of smoothie.
To make it vegan, replace honey with maple syrup or jaggery powder.
Replace curd with almond milk / oats milk / coconut water/plain water.
I always eyeball the ingredients, never measured them and that is the reason this recipe of mine never appeared on the blog. When this month's theme "Summer Drink " was announced for my Facebook group "Shhh Cooking Secretly Challenge", it propelled me to measure the ingredients and post this wonderful recipe of mine.
This is a fun group, where every month a theme is given by one member...then all the members are divided into groups of two. Now these two partners give each other two secret ingredients based on the theme. Then each member prepares a dish using these two secret ingredients and posts the pic on the group without naming the dish. Others are asked to guess the ingredients. It's so much fun. You are challenged to create something new. You interact with so many members and make some wonderful friends.
This month's theme was given by Sasmita Sahoo Samanta (First Timer Cook). My partner Seema Doraiswamy gave me secret ingredients Curd and grapes, which helped me make my Fruitilicious Smoothie. She made Salted Lassi based on the ingredients Water and Jeera(Cumin) powder that I gave her as secret ingredients.
