Impromptu Cucumber Chutney

When you don't have coriander and mint , bit still want to make chutney, try out my cucumber chutney.

We had it on toast, surprised! Yes, it was a perfect combo. It's quite versatile, will go with dosa , cutlets also.

Don't go by the color, it's absolutely finger licking.

Use a little fresh coriander if available, gives nice color.

Can increase onion to a quarter cup. Raw mango can be replaced with tamarind.


Cucumber 3/4 cup

Onion 2 tbsp

Ginger 1 tsp

Green chili 1

Fresh Coriander. 2tbsp (optional)

Coconut 3 tbsp

Raw mango 2 tbsp

Salt to taste


  1. Blend everything into a fine paste.

  2. You won't need any water as cucumber will provide enough water.

  3. Taste and adjust salt.

  4. Store in a glass bottle in the fridge
