Rustic Apple Crumble
In these trying times this Apple Crumble will help you lift your family's mood. It has no maida or white sugar. It is packed with the goodness of Oats and Jaggery.
This recipe makes a small batch enough for 3-4 people. You can easily double the recipe.
So a small batch of Rustic Apple Crumble for you.
It tastes great with vanilla ice cream but since we are avoiding anything cold these days we had it on its own. It taste yummm by itself , If I may say so.

Cinnamon pd 1/2 tsp
Nutmeg pe 1/4 tsp
Jaggery powder 2 tbsp
Water 2 tbsp
Oats 1/4 cup
Oats powder 1/4 cup
Almonds 10 chopped very finely
Butter 1 tbsp+1 tsp (20 gms)
Jaggery powder 30 gms
Peel and chop apples into small pieces.
In a heavy bottom pan mix apples, cinnamon pd, nutmeg pd, jaggery pd and water.
Cover and stew the apples till they are slightly soft.
Meanwhile take all the ingredients mentioned under crumble in a bowl.
Mix using your finger tips till the mixture resembles bread crumbs.
Divide the apple mixture into three ramekins.
Sprinkle the crumble.
Pat it lightly.
In a preheated oven bake it for 30 minutes at 170 degrees Celsius.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
