Eggless Caramel Pudding

Crème caramel, flan, caramel custard, or caramel pudding, this delicious dessert has numerous names. It is  is a custard dessert with a layer of clear caramel sauce. Eggs play an important role in this dessert.

Here is my humble attempt in making this classic dessert without eggs.

  2. Mix hung curd, milk, condensed milk and vanilla extract and pass it through a sieve to get homogeneous mixture.

  3. Heat sugar in a pan.

  4. When it melts and turns golden , pour it in a 6" baking tin.

  5. Swirl the tin to spread sugar evenly.

  6. Let it cool completely.

  7. Take a deep pan, keep a stand in it ,pour a cup of water.

  8. Bring it to a boil.

  9. Pour the milk mixture into the prepared tin.

  10. Cover it with aluminium foil tightly.

  11. Keep it on the stand in the pan, cover the pan with a lid.

  12. Let the pudding steam for 40 minutes on low heat.

  13. Check the pudding ,it would have set by now.

  14. Keep it in the fridge for 6-8 hours, to set further.

  15. Now cover the tin with a serving platter and carefully flip it.

  16. It's ready to be served.
