Mooli ki Chutney ( Radish chutney)

In winters you get really sweet and juicy Radish. They are an integral part of salads in North India.

Sharing a quick and simple Chutney recipe. Pairs well with both dal - rice and roti/ paratha. This recipe has been shared by my sister.

I have used Red Radish, scraped them lightly, hence the color is pink. Generally white Radish is used to make the Chutney.



Ingredients

Mooli 2 no.( 250gms)

Green chilly 2 no.

Walnuts 2 tbsp

Thick yogurt 2 tbsp

Lemon juice 1 tsp (optional)

Salt to taste


Method

  1. Wash and peel the mooli.

  2. Coarsely grind mooli and green chillies in a mortar a pestle, you can also use the vegetable chopper for the same.

  3. Add walnuts and grind a little more.

  4. Mix in yogurt ,salt and kemon juice.

  5. Serve with Parathas, roti or even dal rice.
